Windsong Farm
Windsong Farms raises Tunis sheep and competes nationally with a new show flock each year at various agricultural fairs across the country. Their genetics are sought by breeders across North America. Each year they raise about 30 lambs on the farm for show stock and food.
Windsong Farms’ lambs are grass-fed, and they care for their animals as nature intended… with an abundance of lush green grass and plenty of clean water, sunshine, and fresh air. They may roam freely or return to the new post and beam barn in the evening for a quiet nights rest. Windsong Farms does not use any hormones, steroids or other growth enhancers in their lambs. They are proud of the high quality lamb they provide to their customers.
Tunis Sheep now stand as an example of a rare breed that is successfully growing in numbers and earning recognition for its outstanding production characteristics. The meat is extremely tender and has a mild flavor. Windsong Farms meats are processed by a local USDA approved vendor and flash frozen. Gourmet meats sold by Windsong Farms include: lamb burger, shanks, rib racks, chops and boneless legs and shoulder roasts.
